Into the Woods -- 6/3

June brought a lot of green growth to the woods -- almost overnight. Everywhere you turn it's lush. Sometimes, the lushness is a bit overwhelming, especially for little ones who see eye to eye with it at every turn. Norah gets more overwhelmed than Kai does.

Norah really loves the sound of the wind through the trees. She also loves to watch them move with the wind.

She does not, however, enjoy the bugs that are here, there and everywhere this time of year! Thank goodness for the bug balm borrowed from friends shortly after this swat.

Dirty faces from falls and dirty hands wiped across the face abound.

We enjoyed the gift of this dragonfly nymph. I cannot believe they exist in this state for years only to live as a dragon fly for a season. Nature is amazing.

Kai has me take his picture on this log almost every journey. I can't wait to look at them all together at some point and enjoy the changes in him and the woods.
