April's Adventures Into the Woods

Busey Woods burst open bright and beautiful during the month of April. We watched eagerly each week as she let loose one wildflower after another until the entire woods enveloped us as we walked.

Not only did we enjoy the wildflowers each week, we also had a lot of fun rolling over logs and looking for the life underneath them.

We found roly-polies!

 

We were even lucky enough on two separate walks to discover salamanders! 

 After pouring water on their hands, Norah and Kai even got to hold a salamander. The first one we found was a mellow little fellow. The second one was much jumpier.

 April was an amazing month in the woods.
