My Funny Valentine...Kai

It's been a wild ride for us since Christmas Eve when Kit slid down our icy front steps and injured his back. Since then, in addition to his injured back, Norah got tubes put in her ears and we ALL survived a horrible week long bout of stomach & intestinal flu. Yuck!

But, we're back baby! And, despite all of this, we've managed to take advantage of our unseasonably warm February weather, which makes Bodhi, our dog, incredibly happy; she appears to suffer from seasonal light disorder so when the sun shines...she is much...sunnier!

Kai is growing in leaps and bounds -- body-wise, mind-wise and spirit-wise. He's testing his limits at every turn and challenging us in more ways than one. It's hard to stay calm, cool, and collected when there is a whirling dervish careening through your living space blaming the floor when he falls down on it. In those moments, I find myself thinking of Seinfeld -- "Serenity Now!" I've got to give it to him though...the kid can stop on a dime. And, when he does stop and smile and ask for a hug, my heart melts. He's my funny, energetic, little valentine...
