Norah had a great time peeking through holes in the barn to get a better look at things.
Kai enjoyed playing ladder ball.
Kit and Norah had fun in the 3-legged race -- no one fell down this year, last place was achieved and Norah felt like a big kid getting to race with her 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins.
No trip would be complete without a stellar bug find! Kai even fell asleep holding onto this stag beetle while we drove home.
It really was a wonderful afternoon spent with family. It means so much to me that Kit's family has been getting together like this since the late 1930s. My family used to have reunions like this but they faded away once the older generation had passed. Family roots are important. I'm glad that our kids will get a chance to be reminded of their roots at least once every two years.

Have I ever mentioned that your family is beautiful?! They are, every one of you! Such beauty, kindness, and grace! Miss seeing you!
