It's been too long since I've posted anything. After 3 months worth of random illnesses, this family of four is FINALLY back to its daily rhythm. It feels so good to feel so much more like myself.
Our Friday walk in Busey Woods was a fabulous one. The sun was shining. Little green plants were stretching from their earthly beds to give us a splash of green here and there. The kids had a great time fishing with sticks, climbing fallen trees and meandering wherever their little hearts led them. Kai even spotted a family of deer crossing the boardwalk. We all stopped and just watched. It was magical.
Kai grabbed my camera near the end of the walk and snapped some photos from his perspective. I love looking at these images and seeing what speaks to the artist inside of him when he walks in the woods.

Love these photos -- focusing on details and patterns from a different viewpoint. Little kids still "get inside the picture." They don't stand apart too much like grown-ups do.
