Saturday Morning Ritual
Kit and I have a new ritual. Every Saturday morning, he sleeps in just a little bit, and I start peeling, dicing and boiling potatoes. Kit enters the kitchen, pronounces the potatoes to be boiled and begins to make a wonderful dosa filling. Then, all the while just enjoying some couple time - although Miss Phoebe sometimes crawls through the room - we fire up the griddle. Once it's hot (and I mean really hot), we ladle on the dosa batter and watch the wonderful deliciousness of them cook. Yum. It's our guilty pleasure that starts our weekend off right.
Why dosas, you ask. Because, Kit fell in love with them while traveling through Southern India after college. And, lucky for us, his friend and colleague, Joe, just taught us how to cook them up right!
